Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ordering from The Célestines — standard tall sizing, Made to Measure, and My Silhouette.
Standard tall sizing is our main offer: choose your size (UK 8–18) and inseam (34", 36" or 38"). Every piece is drafted for tall proportions — longer rise, balanced shape, knee placed correctly — and made to order after you buy. No account needed.
Made to Measure is our premium option: select it in the size dropdown on any product, create My Silhouette, and we'll craft the piece to your exact measurements. An account is required.
Standard-size orders: no — guest checkout works fine.
Made to Measure orders: yes — we need My Silhouette saved to your account so we can craft your garment and keep your measurements for future orders.
We also recommend creating a free account even for standard orders — it saves My Silhouette so we can recommend your size and inseam next time.
Every garment is made to order after you place it — nothing is pulled from a shelf. Production takes approximately 2–3 weeks, shipping adds about a week. Plan on roughly 3–4 weeks total.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. Payment is taken at the time of ordering.
Absolutely. If you order multiple pieces, they'll be produced together and shipped as one package.
Go to My Silhouette. Each field has a short inline guide and a body illustration showing exactly where to measure. All you need is a soft measuring tape and about 5 minutes.
Our top tips: wear fitted clothing or underwear, stand naturally, and ask someone to help if you can.
You can use a piece of string or ribbon, then measure the string against a ruler or hard measuring tape. Soft measuring tapes are inexpensive and available at any haberdashery, pharmacy, or online. We recommend having one — it makes the process much easier.
Yes, anytime. My Silhouette is fully editable from your account. Update it before your next order if anything has changed.
We understand this can be a concern — especially for a first order. Our inline guides and tips are designed to help you measure accurately. If something seems off, our team will review measurements that fall outside typical ranges before production and may reach out to confirm with you.
If a garment doesn't fit due to a measurement error, contact us — we'll work with you to find a solution.
For Made to Measure trousers: height, waist, hip, inseam and rise — five measurements, all we need to craft your trousers.
Recommended: thigh and knee.
Optional: bust, shoulder width, arm length and back length (helpful for future tops and tees), plus heel height preference and any notes for our tailors.
For standard sizing, you only need waist, hip and inseam — My Silhouette will recommend your size and inseam automatically.
Enter your waist, hip and inseam in My Silhouette and we'll match you to our size chart (UK 8–18) and recommend an inseam (34", 36" or 38"). If your measurements fall outside our standard range, we'll suggest Made to Measure instead.
You can use My Silhouette without ordering Made to Measure — it's the easiest way to find your size.
Our pieces are designed for women around 5'9" (175 cm) and above. Proportions — rise, knee placement, inseam, overall balance — are drawn for taller frames from the first sketch.
Of course — you're very welcome to. Just know that our patterns are optimised for tall proportions, so the design balance (where a seam falls, how the rise sits, where the knee is placed) is intended for taller silhouettes and may sit differently on shorter frames.
Our sizes use the waist and hip measurements you already know — but every other proportion is redrawn for tall bodies: longer rise, knee placed where yours actually is, inseams from 34". Most brands just add length at the hem; we draft for tall from the first sketch.
Not sure of your size? Create My Silhouette — we'll recommend your size and inseam.
Standard tall sizing is the main offer: pick your size and inseam, proportions already drawn for tall bodies, made to order, standard returns apply.
Made to Measure is the premium option: we draft from your My Silhouette for a one-of-one fit. It costs more, requires an account, and can't be returned like a standard item — but we always work with you on fit.
Simply update My Silhouette before placing a new order. Your measurements are fully editable anytime from your account. Bodies change — that's normal and expected. We'll always make to whatever measurements you have saved at the time of ordering.
Approximately 3–4 weeks from when you place your order. This includes production time (2–3 weeks) and shipping (about 1 week depending on your location). We'll send you updates along the way so you always know where your garment is.
We currently ship to the UK and the EU. We're working on expanding to other regions. If you're outside our delivery area, get in touch — we may be able to arrange something.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location. We aim to keep shipping fair and transparent — no hidden fees.
Yes. You'll receive email updates when your garment enters production, when it ships, and a tracking link so you can follow its journey to your door.
For EU orders, all duties and taxes are included in the price. For UK orders, you may be subject to import duties depending on the order value. We'll be transparent about this at checkout.
Standard-size pieces: yes — contact us within 14 days of delivery for an exchange or refund (unworn, unwashed).
Made to Measure pieces: not standard returns, but every first order is covered by our Fit Guarantee — one free remake or alteration credit if the fit isn't right.
Every first order is covered by our Fit Guarantee: if the fit isn't right, you get one free remake or alteration credit — we'll work out which together based on the issue.
Just get in touch, describe the problem (photos help), and we'll take it from there. And if the error was on our side — a production issue rather than a measurement issue — we'll remake the garment at no cost, always.
We understand this can happen, especially with a first order. Contact us and we'll look at the situation together. We may suggest a local alteration (with guidance from us), offer a partial credit towards a new order, or find another solution. We want you to be happy with your clothes — we'll always try to help.
If you receive a garment with a manufacturing defect — a flaw in the fabric, stitching, or construction — contact us within 14 days with photos. We'll replace or remake the garment at no cost to you. Quality is non-negotiable.
Every piece is made to order by specialist garment workshops we work with directly — chosen for their expertise in individual, made-to-measure production. Nothing is mass-produced or sitting in a warehouse. You can read more about our story on Our Story.
Because it's better — for fit and for waste. We only produce what has been ordered. No warehouse, no unsold stock, no markdowns. Your garment is cut and sewn for you after you buy it.
Making clothes only when they're ordered is one of the most responsible things a clothing brand can do. Nothing sits unsold. Better fit also means fewer returns and clothes you actually wear.
Yes. Your measurements are stored securely on your account, editable and deletable at any time, and used only to produce your garments. We never sell, share, or use your data for anything other than making your clothes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
